Sons of Arugal are the last and strongest monsters a party would encounter in Shadowfang Keep, but they can also be found wandering Silverpine Forest, searching for unlucky lowlevels. They are famed for being lowlevel player-slayers, appearing out of nowhere and killing them while they are questing.
Background[]
The mightiest of Arugal's worgen - his "sons". These creatures are taller, bigger and stronger than any other worgen. They are also imbued with Arugal's own essence, hence why they are so precious to him. Standing as personal guards of Arugal, these creatures will lay waste to anyone who dares enter their "father's" domain, let alone challenge him.
Attacks and Abilities[]
[Arugal's Gift]: Bestows a curse upon the target, which deals a large amount of Shadow damage every 60 seconds.
Strategy[]
It heavily depends on where you engage these worgen - either Shadowfang Keep, either Silverpine Forest.
If you engage a Son of Arugal in Silverpine Forest then if you're a low level - run for your life, it will rip you to pieces and eat your limbs. Oh, and if you manage to run away from it, pray that someone decurses you, else its legacy will still murder you in the nastiest way possible.
If you engage these monsters in Shadowfang Keep, then it won't be much easier. They cast a foul curse, as mentioned before, which must be decursed as soon as possible. They also, almost never come alone. They will most likely bring a Shadowfang Ragetooth or a Lupine Horror. They have quite a lot of health and hit hard. Be careful.
Loot[]
They drop the regular small-drops of humanoids. They can be skinned, and you may receive some leather from them. But the most important part is, that they have a very small chance to drop the following items, like all the other non-boss monsters of Shadowfang Keep:
