Lay on Hands 40 yards range 20 minutes cooldown Instant cast Heals a friendly target for an amount equal to the Paladin's maximum health {and restores X of their mana}. If used on self, the Paladin cannot be targeted by Divine Shield, Divine Protection, Hand of Protection, or self-targeted Lay on Hands again for 2 min. Also cannot be used on self within 30 sec of using Avenging Wrath.

Lay on Hands is a Holy-based spell that instantly fills your target with life. Considered an "emergency" ability, in that due to its long cooldown it should only be used when it's really needed. Lay on Hands causes Forbearance, but only if the Paladin uses it on him/herself. As it allows a paladin to "live twice" by using it, the spell is somewhat famous.

Talent improvement[]

[Improved Lay on Hands] - (2 Ranks) Reduces cooldown by 2/4 minutes, adds 10/20% damage reduction buff.

Notes[]

Tankadins can consider this as a long cooldown "oh s**t button". Turn on the auto-self cast option or create a macro. When your health is dangerously low, use it immediately to heal yourself back to full health.
This ability is completely independent of the amount of Healing the caster has. It always heals the target for the amount of health the caster has.
This ability can crit.
The base cooldown of 20 minutes can be reduced to a minimum of 11 minutes by using Glyph of Lay on Hands and speccing 2/2 Improved Lay on Hands.
Often annoys other players in pvp and dueling, for the reason that it cannot be used in an arena match and is viewed as unfair much like the Death Knights Army of the Dead ability.
