A demonhunter is a possible name for a powerful demon. Though many argue that demonhunters are their own race because of the unique model, this is likely just the shape assumed by a Demon Hunter using the metamorphosis ability.

Name[]
The name "demonhunter" is taken from the game files as no other name is known. The model is used almost exclusively by metamorphosed Demon Hunter NPCs in-game.
More speculation[]
- It is possible that the demonhunter race is the tothrezim race, based on the similarities between them and the nathrezim.
- It should be noted that the only demonhunters that aren't the result of the metamorphosis ability are Atiesh and The Cleaner. Therefore, it is likely that this is just the shape that the caster transforms into during metamorphosis as the events of Atiesh apparently were retconned out in World of Warcraft: The Comic.
