Instead of having characters earn dungeon set and tier pieces through random drops, 2.4.3 vanilla implements the Badge of Honor system from The Burning Crusade, allowing for players to purchase their Dungeon Set 1 set (though you'll still need to do the quest to obtain Dungeon Set 2 should you choose to). Likewise instead of depending on random tier set pieces, instead bosses in raids will drop tokens that can be exchanged to a special Ethereal Essence Trader (purchased from a vendor in Orgrimmar on Horde, and Stormwind on Alliance side respectively), thus removing the random chance of not obtaining drops in raids (aside from being outrolled/outbid).

Any gear which would have +1% chance to hit instead gives +10 hit rating, 2% chance to hit will give +20 hit rating, etc.

Modified content

2.4.3 Vanilla allows the use of the Blood Elf and Draenei races from The Burning Crusade, thus removing the alliance/horde restrictions preventing them from playing the Paladin and Shaman classes respectively (though only as one race).

Instead of having characters earn dungeon set and tier pieces through random drops, 2.4.3 vanilla implements the Badge of Honor system from The Burning Crusade, allowing for players to purchase their Dungeon Set 1 set (though you'll still need to do the quest to obtain Dungeon Set 2 should you choose to), although you still get chances to roll on pieces that might drop; the purpose of the system is to only make it easier to obtain the difficult ones.

Also added in are tier sets for various specs, such as a tier 1/2/3 set for Retribution Paladins. Characters are unable to progress beyond level 60, and attempting to enter the Dark Portal will fail and prompt the user that they must be level 61 to enter (thus preventing them from going to Shattrath City and the like).

Note: Some of the modified content is still in development, and thus is not available. As of the time of this writing, there are only alternative sets for two classes (Feral Bear Druid, and Protection Paladin).
